`Not a good day at the office for all 3 teams on Saturday is probaly an understatement however let’s look at the positives. Henry Hardinges bowled a magnificent spell to take 5 for 33 off his 9 overs which helped to reduce the visitors total considerably. Dad Mark made it a family day with an impressive 48. Charlie Cresswell bowled once again with accuracy and control & did not get the luck he deserved picking up just the 1 wicket in 9 overs which helped 1 for 29. Great to see Dan Newby and his family back at CCC, a tough start for Dan with the ball but he then gained some of his old control back at the end. In the 3rd team Isaac Farley was undoubtedly CCC player of the match against a strong Ross 1st team with a mature innings of 23, with a proud Dad watching on his smile said it all at tea time. The 3rd team in addition had Xander Brown, Will Orion & Harrison Goucher all playing which is great sign of the continued youth development writing the club. Long may it continue. The first team made a trip to Pedmore but things did not go right for most of the game. A good start but the home team took them to 156/3 and then the visitors gained some control but some loft blows gave them a total of 250 and its one we never really looked like achieving with wickets falling on a regular basis and with no one making 20 it was not going to happen.Rahul once gain bowled with good control for his 10 overs going for just 29 and taking one wicket. Captain Cook showed he can still preform with the ball in a fine spell of 3 for 60 in his allotted overs.

So back to the drawing board for all teams and importantly to nets this week! Some tough fixtures next weekend with Bewdley who are currently top visiting CCC , 2nds visit OE’s who sit just above them in the table and a local derby for the 3rds with Ledbury away.
