The last home game brought the champions Dales to Ghost Meadow & it was clear to see why they had lifted the total. A team made of some fine & experienced cricketers demonstrated that when making a good total of 255 on a beautiful wicket.The Colwall attack bowled well with Hugo Hardings taking 3 form 58 in his 9 overs with the other ickets being shared by Xander & Ben Recordon & Peter Palmer

With an injured Andrew alerts unable to bat the task infornt o them looked daunting however Vijai 74 & Pete Palmer 34 partnership of 103 brought some hope but after the dismissal of the former wickets fell at regular intervals leaving the home team all out on 155.

I would to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Tom Palmer who has lead the 3rd team for many seasons now. Tom is a top man and a CCC man throughout, he never complains regarding what sometimes is a very difficult balancing act of getting a team on to the field of play. As we know in a famine we call upon everyone who’s got a white kit and in feast he has to communicate the news that it’s not today for you. You can never please everyone but Tom does his mighty best to do so & needs a huge thank you from me and indeed all club members.
