A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came along, played, umpired, performed, danced, volunteered, exhibited, donated, supported, cheered from the sidelines or simply joined us to celebrate. Seeing the ground absolutely buzzing with people, cricket, music, vintage cars and dancing was incredibly special.

To have so many women and girls playing cricket at Colwall, 100 years after those pioneering women gathered here in 1926 and helped set in motion the formation of the Women’s Cricket Association, felt like the perfect way to celebrate this remarkable piece of history. ?

A very special thank you to Enid Bakewell MBE and Dr Raf Nicholson for joining us for the unveiling of our new Women’s Cricket Heritage Wall. It was a real privilege to have you both there to help us mark the occasion and celebrate the women who paved the way.
