One of my key actions as Chairman some 3 years ago was to make an important investment in our young cricketers future & the appointment of Rob Cook was a key component of this strategy so it is with great sadness that we are saying farewell to a person who has made a such a huge difference to the development of our young players.

Rob’s influence during the last few years can be clearly evidenced in so many ways including the reaching the last 16 of the National ECB U13 competition just this season. Further testimony of Rob’s work can be seen by the increasing numbers of young cricketers who are now regular players & making significant contributions in the senior Saturday & Sunday development teams.

In addition to his Junior influence Rob has brought a greater intensity to senior training that was replicated on the field whenever he played. The club benefitted from many fine innings, & his strong & assertive captaincy was a joy to watch.

We'd like to extend our thanks to Rob for all he has done at CCC & wish him & his young family all the very best for the future
