The local derby against Burghill & Tillington certainly kept everyone on their edge of the seats right until the last over when CCC secured the final wicket with a fine catch by Alex Basford off Amaan whose 3 for 36 and Rahuls 5 for 55 off 15 overs tore apart the visitors batting. With the home side being asked to bat they struggled to 74 for 4 when Alex 72 & Sam Williams joined together in a partnership of 121. Sam Williams finally fell for a magnificent 101 0ff 142 balls including 15 4’s and 1 6. It was truly an innings of maturity for this young talented cricketer.

A total of 232 looked challenging however despite losing wickets on a regular basis the visitors batters all contributed and at 210 for 6 they looked the probable winners but then a run out and some fine bowling & tight fielding Colwall secured a fantastic win to put us back into 3rd position ahead of our local rivals.
