On a hot & steamy day at Moccas the third eleven came up short but despite that disappointment, the stars of the day were two young men Ralph Elliott who made his maiden 50 in senior cricket with a fine 54 including 6 4’s, & Alex Bolderson whose 8 overs including two top order batsman for just 43 runs. Alex was ably backed up by Duggie who took 3 for 56 in his 7 overs. The Moccas total of 262 was always going to be challenging apart from Ralph everyone got in but no one went on to that big score which would taken the away team a lot closer.

Despite the loss it is fantastic to see these young men step forward in senior cricket which such fine performances. We have a really promising cohort of young players who could provide the club with much talent for many years to come. Any one up for a 4th team next year!!
