What’s not to like when things all go to plan! We lose the toss on a very hot summers day & then the bowlers put in the best performance of the season & the batsman back it all up. A perfect day maybe!!

With Droitwich riding high in the league it was expected to be a difficult day at the office but how wrong can you be, the Colwall team buoyed by the return of players put in one of the best performances of the season taking a welcomed maximum 24 points as a reward.

After some fine bowling by Jai and Rahul who both took 3 wickets a piece on a dry CCC wicket which for the locals is well known to turn more as the season develops. A strong Droitwich batting line up never really got going and the 111 never looked to be enough although you never quite know these days. If we did had any doubt that soon evaporated with the talented Henry Hardinges taking the visitors attack apart with a magnificent match winning innings of 66 in just 63 balls including 13 4 ‘s . Fantastic to watch Henry hit the ball to all areas of the ground supported by Amaan in a 88 run first wicket partnership.

A fine victory with a few more required to ensure we do not have a nervous end of the season!
