Colwall CC social side CLOGS welcome the touring side from the USA The Gentlemen of Philidelphia on a lovely Tuesday evening for T20 match.

The USA team is currently touring the West country celebrating its long history having been formed in 1842.

Philidelphia won the toss and asked CLOGS to bat - in their 20 overs CLOGS made 158 with top scores from James Beswick (26) Andy Heath (26) Dan Baker (25) and Wayne HOSKINS (26) with Dan Sparrey scoring 24 not out. The away team bowled and fielded with great energy on a very warm evening.

Philidelphia started their innings in good styler with some fine batting from GHARU (28) and PARTH (27)supported well by Allen (29) and Kishare(21) although CLOGS kept taking wickets at key stages the Philidelphians reached the winning total on the last ball of the 19th Over. Best bowling figures Wayne Hoskins 2 for 6.

Post match the captain of Philidelphia CC Roger gave a speech presenting the CLOGS captain Tubs with a hat and our chairman Kim with a prestigious Philidelphia CC cap together with awards for Dan Baker and Wayne Hoskins for their match contributions - Roger committed that Colwall was the best ground they had played at on tour and that the hospitality from the CLOGS was outstanding must be the bar and BBQ that swung that decision.

CLOGS manager Dave Cole-Parsons presented the American team woth a trophy to mark their visit to iur wonderful club.
