CCC celebrates the past & present

A truly Magnificent day

The Club unveiled its new heritage wall on Sunday at its festival to celebrate 100 years of Women’s cricket at Colwall & what a day it was. Enid Bakewell who has attended cricket week for 58 years & former England cricketer cut the ribbon alongside Raf Nicolson women’s cricket journalist for the Guardian & author of The women in whites - A history of Women's cricket.

Enid played 12 times for England between 1968 & 1979 making a 100 on her debut and still plays today at the age of 86!

Doing th honours for CCC was Jenni O;Connell who has been integral part of bringing back women's cricket to its home. Jenni is part of the successful and unbeaten women’s soft ball team this year.

Its been a great year but out was truly a magnificent day to celebrate our 100 years
