Bruno Recordon smashes 194 against Burghill

Charlie Clements takes a wonder catch

25 fours & seven sixes say no more in an incredible knock by Bruno Recordon 194 off 144 balls. It’s some time since anyone has seen an innings like that at Colwall and had the statisticians looking into the record books to see the last time!. Bruno was absolutely commanding hitting the ball stylishly to all parts of the ground with an army of ball finders just waiting to see where to go next.

Bruno was ably supported by the inform Euan Buttle 69 & his brother Pete Recordon 73 no, Unfortunately it was this combination that lead to the misfortune of a run out which denied his deserved double century. Brotherly love however was still very much at the forefront all watched by his family. Simply superb.

Burghill made a brave effort but it was not to be for them. Alex Powell batted beautifully for his 95 but after his dismissal the writing was on the wall. On a packed Stowe lane those spectators enjoying the beautiful sunshine witnessed one of the catches of the decade when Charlie Clements took a stunning catch in the deep, its a difficult one to describe but falling back wards catching one handed on the run might not do it full justice. A wonderful wonderful catch by a fantastic young man who very much deserved the standing ovation form the large crowd

It was very much a Recordon day with Pete finishing with 4 for 41 off 7 overs.
