A Chairman's Summons to the Crease... of the Dance Floor!
Alright, team. Listen up.
The season’s stumps have been drawn, the covers are on, and the only thing left to polish off is a superb three-course meal and a few well-earned drinks. That’s right – it’s time for the social event of the season: The Colwall Cricket Club Annual Dinner & Dance!
After another incredible season of towering sixes, cunning googlies, and heroic stops in the slips (and the occasional comical drop… we know who we are), it’s time to come together and celebrate in proper style.
The Full Scorecard:
* Date:** Friday 7th November, 2025
* Time:** 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM start
* Venue:** The splendid Worcestershire Golf Club, Malvern. (the views are almost as good as the view from our pavilion).
* Ticket Price:** A very reasonable £30 per person.
What's on the Order of Play?
6:30 PM: The Warm-Up
Arrive, find your seat, and get the all-important first drink in hand. The bar will be fully stocked, so whether your taste is a fine real ale, a elegant glass of wine, or a teetotal tonic, we’ve got you covered.
7:00 PM: The Main Innings
Damien Berry has arranged a magnificent three-course meal that’s guaranteed to be more consistent than our middle-order batting on a tricky wicket. No LBWs here, just Great Food.
9:00 PM: Presentations & speeches
Time to honour our heroes! We’ll be celebrating the season's outstanding performances with our annual awards. Who will bag the coveted Player of the Year? Who’s taking home the Champagne Moment? There might even be a wooden spoon for services to dropped catches…
9:30 PM: The Disco (aka The Nightwatchman's Shift)
Once the formalities are over, it’s time to unleash those **dubious dance moves** upon the world. The DJ will be spinning the tunes, so prepare your best dad-dancing, your questionable shuffles, and your enthusiastic air-guitar. The only running we’ll be doing is on a full stomach towards the bar for a top-up.
Lively chatter, legendary tales, and the kind of camaraderie that only a Colwall Cricket Club can provide are all guaranteed.
This is the perfect night out for players, partners, families, and supporters alike. Let’s pack out the venue and show them how Colwall celebrates!
