it was the third eleven that brought a ray of sunshine to the weekend with a comfortable victory over local rivals Ledbury 2nds. After electing to bat the visitors found life difficult from ball one. The accuracy of bowling from Pete Coxhead 3 for34 off 9, Jonathan Henry 3 for 16 off 5.1 well supported by Giles Morgan 2 for 5 off 2 restricted Ledbury to just 79. Colwall lost 4 wickets in the chase but never looked like losing this one with Mark Pedder 28 showing the way home

The 2nd team found themselves about 40 runs short at home against a very strong OE’s team, in a promising position of 213 for 5 with 6 overs to go Colwall could only muster a further 8 runs. Tom Hall once again demonstrated he’s in fine form with 74 supported by Matt Lock 43, Euan Buttle 40, & James Cosh 18. The total looked short against a strong batting line up and so it proved be despite some great fielding and enthusiastic support by team members.On the bowling front it was Zayaan Edavalath who once agin bowled beautifully for his 3 wickets going for just 27 in his 9 overs.

With availability not at its best the first team faced a tough task going to top of the league Bewdley . A total of 234 looked challenging from the home side albeit at 143 for 4 the visitors looked in with a chance , Rob Cooks 73, dismissal saw the last 6 wickets going for just down for just 43 runs seeing Colwall collect just 4 points & with all the close proximity teams gaining more points the last 7 games make it a tense finish in prospect. Great to see Charlie Clements 2 for 42 off 7 back in form after a long term back injury curtailed most of last season. Good to see you back Charlie
